I did it! My first triathlon.
Sunday was the big day, my first triathlon – and I did it.
I managed the Super-Sprint at Eton Dorney in 2 hours 6 minutes & 55 seconds. Well within my target of 2 hours 20.
I’ll post a proper review soon but here are just a few pictures from the day.
The 400m swim was challenging (!)
The 21km bike ride was fast and flat but with a tricky wind across the lake.
I had to walk most of the 5km run due to my hip injury, but managed to sprint for the finish line.
It was great fun to take part with a team of fellow cancer survivors – 3 of us crossed the line together.
The all-important medal!
So far I’ve raised over £400 for Medecins sans Frontieres. I’d love to get to the £500 mark – you can sponsor me here:
